As I walk this spiritual path it becomes more clear to me that life has been brilliantly serving my highest good since I was born. Michael A. Singer speaks of the path to surrendering and trusting life’s process rather than fighting against it.
I borrowed this book from a friend who persuasively encouraged me to take it home as she advised I wouldn’t be able to put it down. I woke up on a Saturday morning and read up to Chapter 29. She was right! It was a compelling story about the author’s journey with the intention of surrendering to what is. A few of my favourite lines in the book are, “I had to let go of myself and something very special had followed. I was willing to face loneliness and fear and not grab for relief” and “liberation at any cost.”
Michael A. Singer speaks about how important freeing himself from himself meant. His aim was to do anything to get to a place where he felt total internal peace–liberation at any cost. What he experienced, like many of us experience at some point in our lives is the dark night of the soul. It inspired me to know that I wasn’t the only one that felt the fire of spiritual purification.
The book is a quick and easy read and may leave you with a new way to view your own life.
