I assist individuals in reconnecting with their body, mind, spirit and heart. I facilitate group “gentle hatha” and “yin” style yoga and also private one on one sessions.
Yin yoga is a slower-paced yoga class that goes deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. Stretches are held for several minutes to target the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones and even the joints of the body, that are not normally exercised in a more active style of yoga practice.
Yin yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga. It helps increase flexibility, range of motion and bone density, and strengthens joints. You’ll also find that it’s a great way to train your mind to stay present and centre focus.
Items to bring: yoga mat, blocks and straps (if you have them), blanket and water bottle.
